My artwork and I have been featured on This Side of the Moon , a creative whirlwind of art/music/fashion based out of Oakland, CA. The feature includes some beautiful and intimate shots of my newest work as well as a few bumbling, insecure attempts I made to explain it.

A big thank you to anyone who made it to the reception last week and to Daniella and Jazmin of This Side of the Moon for the feature.

For the last two weeks, I have been down south in Texas and Louisiana visiting family. I was pleasantly surprised to find an extremely strong fine art presence in the city of Houston (which I was staying just outside of.) I visited both the MFA Houston and the private (and free) Menil Collection. Each were hosting some awesome exhibitions including Magritte and Braque retrospectives, an  Impressionist collection, John Singer Sargent watercolors, along with the powerful, permanent installations of Mark Rothko and Dan Flavin. The amount of work I saw was almost overwhelming. Along with all of the art, I was also able to visit The Museum Of Natural Sciences, as well as the NASA Space Center, and celebrate Mardi Gras by boiling some craw fish. Here are just a few of my sketches and photos from the trip.
